I wanna tell you about why she had these tattoos done..
the phrase is from the first Karate Kid film.
Daniel 'San' LaRusso is told by Mr. Miyagi that he will only begin his training in karate when he has waxed his car.. Daniel complains but does it eventually -putting wax on the car with the left hand and taking it off with the right in an outward circular motion.. after he's done he can begin his training and he finds that the blocking technique he's using is similar to the circular waxing motion.
therefore, wax on wax off is a symbol of accepting the stage you are at and believe that by working hard it will be beneficial to you later in life.
